Associate Attorney

Remote, Arizona

Medina Family Law Associates is hiring an Associate Attorney for a fully remote role. Outside of court dates and hearings in Maricopa County, you work from home and set a schedule that fits your life.

Careers at Medina Family Law Associates

We are an Arizona family law firm built around a simple idea: people do their best work when they are trusted. Our team works remotely, sets flexible schedules, and takes the time off they need. We show up in person when our clients need us in court.

Our clients come to us during custody disputes, divorces, and domestic violence situations. We look for people who can be steady, kind, and effective when it matters most.

About the role

You will manage your own family law caseload from the first client meeting through resolution. Most days are spent drafting, advising clients, negotiating with opposing parties, and preparing for hearings, all from home. When a hearing, trial, or mediation requires you in person, you appear in Maricopa County. You will have support from our team and the systems to stay organized, and you will have the independence to run your cases your way.

What you’ll do

  • Manage a full family law caseload: dissolution, legal decision-making and parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, and orders of protection
  • Appear at hearings, trials, and mediations in Maricopa County
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and conduct legal research
  • Give clients clear, practical strategy that fits their goals
  • Keep clients and our team informed by phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
  • Conduct consultations as needed
  • Track your time and meet a reasonable billable target

What you need

  • Active member of the State Bar of Arizona in good standing
  • Based in Arizona and able to attend court in person in Maricopa County
  • Litigation experience with strong research and writing skills
  • A track record of working independently and meeting deadlines without reminders

Nice to have

  • One or more years of family law experience (litigation experience in other areas is welcome)
  • Spanish fluency
  • Experience with Clio, Microsoft 365
  • Interest in helping a growing firm build its systems and team

What we offer

  • Fully remote work outside of court dates and hearings
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Competitive salary plus quarterly bonuses
  • Flexible hours, as long as clients and staff can reach you during the day
  • Paid firm holidays
  • State Bar dues and CLE expenses paid
  • Firm laptop and Clio subscription

How to apply

Email your resume and a short cover letter to Medinafamilylaw@gmail.com. Put the position title in the subject line (for example, “Associate Attorney Application”). In your cover letter, tell us why you practice family law and how you do your best work remotely.

We review every application and will reach out to candidates whose experience fits the role.
