Meet Catherine Medina

Your Competent divorce and child custody lawyer

Since 2021, Catherine has proudly served as the owner of Medina Family Law Associates, carrying on a tradition of excellence in legal representation like her mentor before her, Terry Smith.

Catherine’s journey into the legal profession began alongside the esteemed Terry Smith, a luminary in the field of family law. Under Terry’s mentorship, Catherine honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of the complexities of the legal landscape. When Terry Smith decided to embark on her well-deserved retirement, Catherine stepped up to lead the firm, seamlessly transitioning into her role as owner and managing partner.

As the firm’s lead attorney, Catherine handles a wide array of family law matters, from dissolutions to child custody modifications, enforcement actions and beyond. Her dedication to her craft and her clients is evident in every case she handles.

But Catherine’s approach to family law goes beyond mere legal skill. She believes that divorce and child custody matters are already fraught with complexity and emotion – hiring a legal team shouldn’t add to the burden. That’s why Catherine is a staunch advocate for amicable settlements, empowering families to have a voice in shaping their futures. However, when fairness and justice demand it, she’s not afraid to take a stand, whether it’s in the courtroom or the negotiating room.

For Catherine, professionalism, honesty, and hard work aren’t just buzzwords – they’re guiding principles. She sees her role as more than just a legal advisor; she’s a trusted confidante and ally, helping her clients make informed decisions about their futures with clarity and confidence.

At Medina Family Law, clients are more than just case numbers – they’re partners in a journey towards resolution. Catherine values the power of collaboration and cooperation, forging strong working relationships with her clients to achieve the best possible outcomes.

And while Catherine isn’t one to shy away from difficult conversations, she firmly believes that divorce doesn’t have to be a drawn-out ordeal. Instead, she approaches each case as a collaborative effort, guiding her clients through the process with compassion and empathy, so they can emerge on the other side stronger and more resilient.

With Catherine Medina by your side, you can navigate even the most challenging of family law matters with grace, dignity, and confidence.

Catherine Medina is an AMAZING ATTORNEY!!!!

She was honest and upfront from the beginning. There was never a time that I felt she had misled me in anyway and she fought for me until the end, while keeping my best interest in mind the whole time. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great family law attorney.

Client Testimonial

Divorce is a private matter and I was glad that Miss Medina was there for me.

She answered any questions or concerns I had. I was able to experience the quality of communication when I spoke to her in person.
I also had a non-divorce case.
She also referred me to a lawyer who specializes in this area, who was very helpful.
I am now in Japan.
She is still a great lawyer who responds quickly to my emails and I can trust her with my case.
The trial is not over yet but it is going in the right direction.
The office staff, including Miss Medina, is very friendly.
I give Medina office 5 stars!
