Why we built MFLA
Medina Family Law Associates was built on two beliefs. Families going through divorce, custody disputes, and domestic violence deserve skilled, compassionate representation they can afford. And the people who do that work deserve a career that leaves room for a life outside of it.
Too many firms ask clients to pay for overhead and ask their teams to give up everything else. We built MFLA to do both differently: a modern firm where good work is trusted, rewarded, and done with heart.
How we work
We own our work.
No one here watches the clock or looks over your shoulder. You manage your own day, keep your team in the loop, and meet your deadlines without reminders. We hire people we trust, and then we trust them.
We make our time count.
We set clear goals and give you the tools to hit them. Our team tracks their time, knows their numbers, and shares in the firm’s success through quarterly bonuses based on billable hours, performance, and revenue generation.

Our clients often come to us during the hardest season of their lives. We stay calm, kind, and professional, even when emotions run high. We also know that real compassion includes honest advice, clear boundaries, and getting results.
Flexibility that actually works
Work from home.
Every role at MFLA is remote. Attorneys and Licensed Paraprofessionals appear in person in Maricopa County when court requires it. The rest of the time, your office is wherever you do your best work in Arizona.
Set your own hours.
Our firm hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon. Within that, you choose the schedule that makes you most productive. Early riser or not, what matters is that clients and teammates can reach you and you let us know when you’re offline.
Half-day Fridays.
We close at noon every Friday. Use the quiet afternoon to catch up without phone calls or client meetings or, when your caseload allows, to step away and recharge for the week ahead.
Unlimited PTO.
Take the time you need. We just ask that you plan ahead with your team and make sure your clients are covered while you’re out.
Support for your career.
We pay State Bar and LP licensing dues and CLE expenses, and every team member gets a firm laptop and access to Clio and Microsoft 365.
